I've had this unit for about 3 weeks and everyone who has seen it is in awe....My daughter has even gone so far as to state that she wants to replace all the tv'sbecause now they look crappy by comparison....which is true....About the VIA (Vizio Internet Apps) ...after establishing that you have a linkwith your brodband, reset the internet apps to the factory default then they willupdate and upgrade as necessary....and as far as the remote mine works great controllingstreaming content....if its slow or clunky its because your imternet connection is too slow.I really like this TV ...so far the only downside is the sound like all lcd 's, whileacceptable, it needs help.....i got a vizio soundbar and that helps a great deal...i also pairedit with an old polk PSW10 i had and now it sounds great....this is my first soundbar soi can't really compare it to any others.....hope this helps !!!

My first LCD was a 32" Vizio I bought about 3 and half years ago, and it still runs like new. Which is why when I decided to upgrade that another Vizio was a great choice. Not only does this TV look ginormous in my small living room, but the picture is fantastic. Be careful watching movies or shows in XHD as it's almost too real and looks kinda weird. When I watched Netflix though this did not happen as it was just in your standard 1080p format with no "extras". All in all for the price of this TV you can't go wrong. This is my first TV with any kind of apps on it, and I freakin love it! The remote is a little janky but it does work. was kinda hoping they would throw in a "qwerty" remote with this TV, but then that would probably jack the price up a bit. If you're on any sort of budget then this TV is for you!UPDATE (2/29/2012) - I figured I would update this review as I have gotten a few helpful votes (much appreciated). This TV is still running great, and still looks fantastic. I didn't review the audio on this TV in my original review so I'll say something about it now. Though the sound is not the greatest (especially for us audiophiles) it does work, and is audible. I haven't had to turn it up to max to hear anything. I have found that setting the volume around 25-30 is pretty good. I now have a surrond sound system so that's really no longer a concern. Since the original review there have been many new TVs coming out, but I still don't think you can beat this one for the price.

We love this TV! Picture quality is EXCELLENT!! Looks so real and the sound quality is amazing. There is over 140 apps included with this TV. You will think you are looking at a LED LCD without paying for one. Don't pay more then you need to. This TV is BOMB! We've had a 52" Sony Wega and 62" Mitsubishi LCD rear projection TV that were pathetic. Yeah you read that right. Spent over $4000.00 for both in 4 years and they were a piece of junk! Both stopped working right about 2 years old. We Bought a 37" Vizio LCD TV from Walmart 3 years ago and it's still working perfectly and looks great. I researched for months prior to buying this TV at Walmart for $998. There is no better value. With that said, I recommed you a protection plan for 2-3 years in addtion to the 1 year manufactures warranty.
